Dr Niki Kalaydzhieva

Niki is a lecturer in Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics at University College London. Niki received her Ph.D. in Mathematics from University College London in 2020 under the supervision of Andrew Granville.

Niki’s research interests are in Number Theory, more specifically Continued Fractions and Pell’s equation over function fields. She is a keen science communicator and regularly delivers Masterclasses for The Royal Institution. Niki was also a lead editor and regular writer for the popular mathematics magazine Chalkdust.

Niki has been involved in PROMYS Europe since it began in 2015, when she was part of the first group of counsellors. She returned in 2016 as a deputy head counsellor and now teaches the advanced courses for returning students.
